Introducing our new format…
Every student affairs professional has at least one “story” that is going into the book they will eventually write about their careers in Higher Education. This story might be funny, or sad, or both. And when the need arises to put this profession into words, it seems that these stories describe this work better than any cover letter or CV ever could. These stories tell the joy of what we do.
Here’s the Story is a new episode format from Student Affairs Now that celebrates the heart and soul of student affairs in higher education through the power of storytelling. Each episode brings to life a compelling story, told directly by those who lived it—the students, staff, and educators whose experiences shape the campus community. Through their voices, we explore the moments of challenge, triumph, and transformation that make student affairs a deeply rewarding and impactful field.
Hosted by Neil E. Golemo alongside co-hosts J.T. Snipes and Helena Gardner, Here’s the Story highlights the joy, connection, and purpose found in supporting students. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a newcomer to the field, or simply someone who loves a great story, these episodes are a reminder of why student affairs matters and the incredible people who bring it to life.
